Record Temperatures.

Today it hit 64 degrees. That is over 10 degrees over the record for the fifth of January as well as a record high for January. We have been taking advantage of the weather and today we [with the exception of me (I was sick)] weaned calves. We are extremely thankful for the beautiful weather. It is supposed to cool down a bit, but we aren't complaining.

  1. The only problem now is with no snow they are predicting a drought for a couple of years in a row, but I hope their wrong.

  2. Hi David,

I try to keep on optimistic outlook. They were saying January was going to be colder and wetter than normal and I haven't seen that yet. I normally don't trust their long-range forecasts.

  3. I am sure glad for the nice weather as there as still jobs that require it. Chores are a lot easier, less wood to cut, and more days to fly!

The Old farmers Almanac is the most accurate predictor. They predicted this "heat wave" but say we will still have winter weather coming. They predict a cold wet spring. We will see.
